Yellowing

Development of a yellow tint in aged paint. The phenomenon is more noticeable in white shades or transparent varnishes.

Reasons:

  • Oxidation of alkyd paints
  • The heat from stoves, radiators and heating pipes
  • Lack of light
  • Use of poor quality paint or varnish

Solution:

Use the colors (AQUALAQUER, S-86 COLOR) and the special varnishes (VARNISH S-86, ACRYLIC FINISH AF-10100) of ER-LAC which have a special composition and do not turn yellow with time. For transparent varnishes, you must use a corresponding substrate such as SUBSTRATE S-88 or ACRYLIC DUR A-10.
