The number of required paint layers is determined by the covering ability of the paint, the primer or undercoat used, the quality of the paint and if it is a first time painting or a recoating.
The use of a primer is very important and many times it is being wrongfully avoided. In most cases the use of a primer in newly painted walls is necessary. When the surface is already painted we need to use the primer to cover any bad condition of the old paint.
The smoke stains can be cleaned using mechanical ways, but the easiest way is repaintng the wall with our special paint PANMONOX.

Humidity prolems are the most common faced problems on painted walls. The cause is insufficient isolation or bad air ventilation of the space. Always check for humidity problems before painting your wall.
The most common mistake with the leftover paint is using it for another layer application. This can cause difference in the color tone and it can alter the paint properties (such as drying, hardness etc.). The best thing to do with the paint is to give it to someone that needs it, such as an institution or school, or a person in need or ever to keep it in a safe place for future needs.
We have to use always the appropriate brush for each use. For walls the use of a good quality brudh is more tha enough. For application of special products on doors and windows and special varnishes like floor varnishes we need special brushes with special properties and the appropriate hair length.
In order to achieve the best result we have to follow the instructions that are on the label of the paint. We have to use the appropriate thinner and to use the quantities according to the instructions of the producer. A thicker layer or a higher dilution from the recommended can cause application and other problems.
The paint quantity needed, depends on the square meters of the area you want to paint, the covering ability of the paint and the amount of layers you want to apply. Try our paint calculator and you will find out the exact paint quantity needed.

Most ‘laminated’ floors are simply photographed veins of wood on plastic surface which is glued on MDF or HDF (pressed board). There are the “Laminated” on which the upper surface is a thin sheet of real hard wood glued on MDF. Many times the distinction is very difficult. Laminated are sensitive and when exposed to humidity they expand and do not return in their previous state. If the Laminated with plastic surface are scratched are not repaired though those that have a real wood final layer, are repaired with light sanding and recoating with a floor stain.
Most woods are affected by sun light, turn yellow with time and become darker.
All polyurethane floor varnishes are affected with time from the sun light and turn yellow. Water based varnishes of 1 and 2 components are affected much less and are more suitable for light color woods.
Yes. If the polyurethane floor varnish 2K is old, sand first with sandpaper No.120 and then apply the water-based floor varnish (1K or 2K). If the polyurethane floor varnish is just applied, then allow it 24 hours to harden and then sand lightly with paper No.210 and then apply the water-based floor varnish.
If you have applied only component A the floor will never harden. Unfortunately, the easy solution to apply component B on top does not secure that we will have a well composed mixture of the two components for a quality result. You should remove the varnish by using slow solvent polyurethane No. 200, thoroughly clean the floor and apply again the right mixed varnish.
If you applied only component B, the floor will over-harden fast and will create sharp cracks. Unfortunately, the easy solution to apply component A on top while it’s fresh, will not secure that there will be a well composed mixture of the two components for a quality result. In this case, the situation is simple: Allow it to completely harden and remove by sanding thoroughly the layer which was created by the wrong application. Then, apply the properly mixed floor varnish.
Don’t worry. The water based floor varnishes dry naturally and component B simply reinforces the toughness and the chemical durability. If you leave the floor as is, the varnish will dry and it will be as if you applied a final one component floor varnish. If you prefer the properties of the two components, simply apply again a new coat but don’t forget to add component B.
Basketball court lines and markings are done with ER-LAC’s 2K ultra high quality paint, S-86. It combines excellent with the varnish and secures excellent adhesion and durability.
There are no restrictions, just allow enough time (24 hours) until the first coat has thoroughly dried.
If you added less quantity of the hardener, the varnish will not have the demanding toughness and the chemical durability it should. If you added more hardener the varnish will become very hard and will not have the demanding flexibility. For excellent result you should do the precise mixture of the two components.
Yes. Gloss and satin water based varnishes can be mixed in any kind of ratios without restrictions.
The polyurethane floor varnishes have different compositions in gloss, satin and mat and their mixture will most likely cause problems in application under specific conditions.
Each component B (hardener) has different composition and cannot be used onε insted of the other.
This can happen in the following cases: 1.When the right mixture is not done properly and we add less hardener, then the varnish remains soft and the surface might seem alright but when the second coat is applied it affects the first one from the varnish thinners and finally flaws are created on the surface.
2.When you have low temperatures and high humidity in comparison with a big thickness layer application, if you don’t allow the first coat to harden completely then during the application of the second coat the first one will be affected.
In those cases you have to sand again and apply the stain right.
There are several ways to deal with rust. One way is to remove rust scrubbing it away, then remove all the corroded parts and sand the surface with sanding paper. After this preperation you can apply an anticorrosive one component system with ER-LAC’s RUST PRIMER and METAL CARE) or the anticorrosive 2 component system, which provides up to 10 years guaranteed protection, with ER-LAC’s ER-POX PRIMER and S-86 PAINT).
